Left alone with her family after her husband suffers from divers' disease and gets stuck in an underwater cave, Merel realises how a house full of memories is as important as her children. The house is more than just four walls; it is a place that is cherished like a family member in their lives. The house she initially wants to get rid of will put on a fight to continue to exist together with the family members.
Netherlands' Oscar entry at the previous Academy Awards, Narcosis is a subtle and impressive film about loss and mourning.
