Director Felipe Gálvez's first feature film tells a story set in Chile in the early 20th century. Wealthy landowner José Menéndez plans to send his employees, British lieutenant MacLennan and American mercenary Bill, on a mission to the Tierra del Fuego region in southern Patagonia. Menéndez wants to open a safe passage for his flocks to reach the Atlantic Ocean, the only obstacle being the region's indigenous people. He asks his men to solve this problem by clearing the island. MacLennan agrees to the task on the condition that he is allowed to recruit a half-native young man named Segundo from Chiloé. Presented as an expedition, this bloody mission quickly turns into a massacre that spirals out of control.
Gálvez uses the visual motifs of the western as he portrays colonial themes of the genre.
