Remember Bertolt Brecht's famous cue from The Threepenny Opera: "What's breaking into a bank compared to founding one?" Two friends, Morán and Román work at a bank from 9 to 5, but their paths cross for a bank robbery. One robs the bank he works at and convinces the other to become his partner in crime. One of them goes to jail after confessing to the robbery, the other agrees to keep the money while his partner serves time. Both men yearn for freedom, a life without obligations and love. In their destiny, their love and fortunes intersect, and in places become indistinguishable from each other. According to British critic Nick James, a previous guest of the Ayvalık Film Festival, Argentine Rodrigo Moreno's The Delinquents is "one of the cult films of the future".
